24 Hours Moto 2013
21st & 22nd September

The Le Mans 24 Hours Moto is the ultimate in motorcycle endurance racing at the iconic home of endurance motorsport; Le Mans. Racing on the Le Mans Bugatti circuit the 24 Hours Moto is a tough challenge for the riders and their support teams as well as the machines that will complete in excess of 800 laps.

The finish of the 35th edition of the Le Mans 24 Hours Moto will be remembered for the new record distance travelled by the victors, Kawasaki who won the event for the third time in a row whilst Suzuki, second in the race, seized a new trophy; the FIM World Endurance Moto.

3532 kilometres were completed in 24 hours by the crew of the SRC Kawasaki team, Julien Da Costa, Grégory Leblanc and Freddy Foray, who not only brilliantly won the 35th edition of the Le Mans 24 Hours Moto, but also broke the record that the same team had held since 2011. With this success, SRC Kawasaki claims the exceptional right to keep the trophy of the Le Mans 24 Hours, a privilege granted to a team who win for the third time in a row. Strong performance from Kawasaki ZX 10R No.11, the Japanese also equalled the record for victories by Honda, while Leblanc and Da Costa now join the five riders who have won three times in the greatest motorcycle endurance race in the world.

Second in the race was SERT, with the No.1 Suzuki GSXR that earned the FIM World Endurance title. Leader of the standings before the last round of the championship, the team of Dominique Méliand won his twelfth crown, with its three drivers Philippe Delhalle and Tsuda. The French riders Vincent Philippe and Anthony Delhalle took the riders' world title. In third place after the 24 Hours was the BMW S1000RR No.99 Gimbert, Nigon Cudlin who had to settle for second place in the Championship in 2012.

More than 80,000 spectators were at Le Mans to see the third consecutive Kawaski victory. They will be going for a fourth in 2013 and you can be there to see if they do it!

The motorbike 24hr is always full of excitement and 2013 will be no exception. You can be trackside at the Bugatti Circuit for the next race with our exclusive offer that includes channel crossings, circuit entrance tickets and a room at the recently refurbished Ibis Hotel.
